Chess Assistant Add-ons

• pawlak_ca61_general_classifier.zip - General purpose classifier for CA versions 6&7
• Migration.zip - CA 6-> CA 7 migration script, look at the readme file for more info
• endgame.zip - An endgame classifier for use with CA 7.1, build 722 and higher. See this article for installation instructions.
• eng_openings2003.zip - Brand new Openings 2003 data for users of Chess Assistant 7!
• Informant_to_ca.exe - Convert your Informant PGN data to PGN with Chess Assistant markups. Try it, you'll like it!
• Fide_handicap_book.zip - An opening book that is not deep, and is fairly wide. Best used for handicap play.
• Reporter_v1.zip - A small application that I wrote to make bug reports for CA. If you are a CA beta tester, I recommend you download this. 
• BGA script  - Usable in CA 8 and CA 7. This script is necessary for some BGA operations.

Recent Chess Assistant Patches (mirror)

• Chess Assistant 7.1 for Windows 9X/Me/NT/2000/XP build 722 - This should update your copy of CA.  There are a set of instructions for installing the update, make sure you read them.
• Chess Assistant 7.1 for Windows 9X/Me/NT/2000/XP build 729 - Copy to CA root directory, and run.
• Chess Assistant 7.1 for Windows 9X/Me/NT/2000/XP build 730 - English only. Copy to CA root directory, and run.  
• Chess Assistant 7.1 new features document - Tells you all about the new features in CA 7.1!
• CA 6.1 What's new file - Contains information about some tree operations in Chess Assistant; opening book functionality discussed here has changed in some later versions though.
• Instructions for the new auto-update feature - Build 722 has an auto-update feature that deserves examination. This file contains instructions on using it. 
• Chess Assistant 7.0 Updated Help! - This is a must download, the help file has been greatly improved, and context -sensitive help (F1) now works properly.

Other

• Chess Flashcard Trainer demo - This is a new demo (ver 3.12) of my simple application for test position training. Make sure you have font smoothing enabled when you run it.
• Chess Score Sheet - This PDF file is a printable chess score sheet provided by Mike Byrne.
