The training exercises are intended for beginners, both children and adults. They are categorized into five different courses (stages) according to difficulty, starting with mate in one and then slowly progressing to more difficult exercises.
Each course contains many exercises for practicing specific themes as well as for tests. More than 1,300 tactical problems classified by theme and difficulty ensure variety and a good understanding of basic tactics.
The training exercises are based on carefully selected positions from practical games, endgame studies as well as specially designed training examples.

Various visual hints are provided if you play the wrong move when doing an exercise.
In case you need assistance with understanding a position, a built-in playing engine, Dragon, can be called upon to analyze the problem. Your favourite external playing program can also be used.
