Flash animations illustrating the View mode of Chess Assistant

The View mode is the most frequently used mode of Chess Assistant. Every time you see a window with chessboard and game notation, it is the View mode:

It is impossible to illustrate all the possibilities of Chess Assistant's View mode in a single flash animation. Hence a list of flash animations is given below, which deal with various aspects of the View mode. Opening the hyperlinks allows you to watch corresponding flash animations immediately.

Annotating moves – the basic features of the View mode are presented in this flash video, including adding annotations to moves in a game notation, entering and managing variations and implementing the color markers.

Chess1.htm – replaying a complicated game is demonstrated here together with using the Infinite analysis mode and reading information stored in the various trees. As you can see, the View mode provides you with various kinds of necessary information that can be accessed and used for analyzing games. Some basic functions are also given here, such as adding variations to game notation etc.

Annotating the game: Part I, Part II, Part III – these are the three part flash animation dedicated to the analysis of an interesting opening position. Again you can see the View mode as it allows us to work with the game on the chessboard, while reading information from the tree and implementing the Infinite analysis mode. You can also find examples of many useful basic operations – creating a new game, creating a new database, entering the game's header and notation, adding evaluations to moves, adding variations, saving the game, etc.
